Hi Sorry for the delay! Yes the Mac version seems to have issues since the latest OS update and upgrade to 64bit. Most of my time is now in a new rewrite of TimelineFX (which is coming along well), but if I get time I’ll try and take a look.

My main focus now is a rewrite of TimelineFX which will hopefully be released this year is things go well. Will update the blog with more info soon!

It still works ok here with the latest feature update with windows.

If you look in your TimelineFX installation folder is the config.ini file ok? you could try deleting it to force the program to recreate it. You’ll have to re enter your registration info again though.

You can also try installing to a another folder other then Program Files incase it’s a permissions issue, or try running the program as Administrator to see if that helps.

Graphics Drivers are another possibility if the Windows update affected those in someway, so you could try updating those.

Hi, sorry for the delay, very distracted over Christmas!

Sorry to say there’s no functionality for importing an avi to use as a background.

If you have a circular shape but want it to be elliptical then you can right click the attributes list and select Toggle Aspect, which will let you change the width and height of the shape independently. You might also be able to make use of the Ellipse type of emitter on the effects tab.

Colours should be sorted now on the mac, both loading and exporting.

I’d like to also switch to another notebook style (the Tabbed layout in the bottom left), so that it looks better on a dark theme, was having trouble compiling that so far though. Obviously the colours was a higher priority!

I’m also trying to sort out file associations on Mac as well as that seems to have changed too.

There was an issue on the Mac where the RGB channels got mixed up, but it looks like since 64bit and a Freeimage library update I need to reverse my original fix! I didn’t get a chance to yet but I think I can sort it out tomorrow..

Right, give that a go, I replaced the tab control with one that seems to respect the DPI as it should. The installer should properly overwrite the executable as well now. Let me know if it’s better now.

Sorry missed this, I’ll take a look and try and sort. I thought there was something up with the installer as well so will check that out too.

Windows version is updated as well now. I’ll need more time to think about the graph changing colour though as that’s not as straightforward.

I’ve fixed the issue with the emitter attribute list and also changed the background colour of active tabs as well so they show a bit better on dark theme. Download from usual place.
