peterigzKeymasterAll emitter libraries are available here: http://www.rigzsoft.co.uk/effects-libraries/ I’m not sure of the exact count but there’s a few hundred of various types. You can preview them all on that link and also you can download them all and try them out in the trial version.
peterigzKeymasterAll payment goes through BMT Micro which is US based so I’m not sure how they calculate the exchange rates, it does seem like quite a high exchange rate though into Rand. I can email them for an explanation.
peterigzKeymasterHi, the price is 29.99 GBP, that will get converted into whichever currency you buy with depending on exchange rates which might be where your confusion lies?
peterigzKeymasterThe issue is that each frame on that animation strip isn’t an equal size, and if you divide 854 by 3 if gives 284.66 so 3 frames don’t quite go. I modified the image to 855 wide and moved the frames a little bit so they fit into each frame a little better. So to import, use 285 x 646 and 3 frames:
peterigzKeymasterWhat is the size of each frame of animation? They are the values you need to enter into the box. So for example if you have an animation that is 32 frames on an image that is 512×512, each frame is 128×128. Let me know how you get on, or send me the image if you’re still having trouble.
peterigzKeymasterHi sorry for the delayed reply. Have you checked out the video tutorials already uploaded? I know that I should do more unfortunately I’m starved of time at the moment so it’s difficult! I’ll take a look at the space anomoly effect and see what I did. I know a lot of those effects were me just experimenting at random and just seeing what happens!
I think that particular effect was me playing with the Velocity Adjuster graph. So while the Velocity of the particles is constant, the velocity adjuster spikes to give that exploding out effect. The effect is looped (on the Effect Tab loop settings) every 3 seconds so it keeps spiking the velocity over and over.
peterigzKeymasterHi, I had a quick go, I think it’s a fairly straightforward effect.
I created an effect with 2 emmiters, one blue one red. I set them both to single particles and on the alpha overtime graph I made them pulse twice, except they both pulse at different times. I imagine a police light has a blue and red light that rotate so the red and blue alternate which is what I tried to recreate here.
On the effect tab you’ll see I set the effect type to a line effect so that I could spawn more than 1 particle for each emitter to increase or decrease the intensity of the light using the emission settings x field. The only other thing I adjusted is the lifetime of the particles which I set to 500ms, you can adjust that depending on how fast the lights should ‘rotate’.
Here is the effect file: Police Lights
Hope that helps!
peterigzKeymasterHi, I’ll take a look and see what I can do regarding this.
peterigzKeymasterThey look great! 🙂
peterigzKeymasterAhh yes, I think someone else mentioned this issue, I’ll see if I can get the monkey git repo updated.
peterigzKeymasterThat sounds like a bug! Hopefully I can fix it in between Christmas and new year.
peterigzKeymasterI can take a look. When it loads a shape it stores it internally within the program so if you change it you have to remove the shape and re-import it. I’ll look at adding a “re-load shape” option to the pop-up menu. It would be handy as I tweak shapes while I’m creating effects as well 🙂
peterigzKeymasterThat’s odd, I’ve never notice that before, I’ll if I can recreate that and see what’s going on.
peterigzKeymasterYes, import with full colour option checked, glad you found it! 🙂
peterigzKeymasterNo that’s fine, thanks for the bug report! I’ll look to update the docs for super effects to, glad you’re enjoying using it 🙂
