Thanks.
The clouds at the end were made with Timeline FX. I made a sprite sheet of 4 cartoon clouds in Photoshop and used them at random for the effect.
he he, this is why I’m hesitant to mention issues. I see now that the Animation screen will reset to the color used in the main screen, so I think this is okay as is. The reason I had a black background color (that didn’t work well with the current effect) in the main screen was because I was just selecting several different effect to export them.
The steps I took to re-create it
start new library.
add a shape
create effect from shape
set velicity to 700ish
set Velicity Overtime to 0.4
then just right click on the color and go to edit.
changed the color and clicked ok
the particle stops moving.
if I go to the graph and move the mouse over the velocity it starts moving again.
Please ignore this post.
I found the setting in File/Import Options. I’d delete this post if I could. š
Doh!
You are right, I just eyeballed it and didn’t see the change in the last few frames of the sprite sheet. Sorry about that. I didn’t mean to waste any of your time.
I’m still learning the tool and this was an early test/experiment. My plan with it was to learn how to make a single play animation to be used for explosions similar to how flameArc8.png is done. In this effect I came across the weird issue and just figured I’d mention it.
On a side note the documentation is missing info on the “Super Effect”. I was able to understand how to use it by looking through your release notes blog. You may want to update that part.
Thanks for the help, this is an impressive program, I’m having a good time with it.
Sure, here is a link to effect. The best way to see the issue is to simply click on the play button (in Animation Properties). You will notice that the animation will play only up to about the 53rd frame and then go back to the beginning, so it basically skips frame 54-64.
