Thanks for the reply! Your method was helpful knowing that I could go into the .eff with 7zip and edit the source.
However, the problem persisted after deleting a handful of the most recently added sprites (which included all of the ones I made myself). I assumed the most recent files would be the culprit. I’m working with a lot of sprites (all of the preset free libraries) so going one by one to find the bad file is not a great option right now.
I tested by deleting every image node within the <SHAPES> </SHAPES> and the file would load correctly. All of the animations remained intact except with the ‘no image found’ square for every particle of course.
I will just continue backing up my files regularly and start working with smaller libraries for the time being. Perhaps just a more detailed error message would be a good workaround for the xml edit method.
Thanks again!
Hrm I can’t seem to find the effect to send you–perhaps I absent mindedly deleted it, or (as is sometimes wont to happen) the program might have crashed without me saving. Either way, it’s a moot point– I made a new effect based on the burst up effect and this one exports perfectly. Thanks for getting back so quickly though–great customer service. If I encounter this again I’ll make it a point to save and send you the file!
