Another new update available. Aside from a couple of bug fixes the big thing this update is the fact that you can now record animations up to 8192 x 8192 in size (frame size that is). 8192 is probably overkill, but hey, the more the merrier 🙂 I know this is a feature that’s been asked for by a few people and I thought it would be difficult to implement due to the fact that you can only render what’s visible on the screen, but it wasn’t so hard once I’d thought it through (and googled a bit 🙂 )
Probably not a feature all that suited to games, as large textures use a lot of memory but it’s nice to be a able to record in HD for use in videos and stuff.
Here’s the full break down of changes:
* New Feature: Animation Controls Enhanced! The maximum size of an animation frame has been increased to 8192 x 8192.
* Exporting an animation should now be quicker.
* The editor now alerts you to any new updates when opening the editor.
* Particles will now align properly when velocity is 0 on area, ellipse and line effect types.
* Fixed a bug where some effects didn’t behave the same in the animation controls as they do in the editor preview.
I’m going to try and update the docs over the next few days as they’ve fallen behind since implementing a lot of these changes. I’m also keen on creating some video tutorials so watch this space!
