Hey,
Firstly, congratulations on a great product, I think it is awesome!
I do have a couple of requests that would make this into a perfect tool for me.
1. Most important – The ability the render the sprites as a sheet instead of strip. To be able to specify the number of rows and columns would be perfect. I need this because I use flash which has a limit to the height and width of the bitmap data that it can load (2800px) so rendering an animation out to a strip means that I have to hack the images into rows, which doesnt look very good.
2. Add a frame step to the animation properties. If I have an effect that starts and ends, like an explosion, I have to set the number of frames to a large value to capture the whole effect. It would be very useful if you could set a frame step so it only renders every (n)th frame.
Thanks,
Mark
hi Mark, when you export, if you have “save as texture” selected then that will save the animation as a sprite sheet, with columns and rows. I guess Save as Texture is a bit misleading, I might change it to sprite sheet 🙂 You can’t dictate the number of rows and columns though, it just aims to keep the width and height of the sheet in powers of 2. See if that works out ok for you though.
I’ll look into adding save every nth frame, as it sounds like it could be a useful feature.
Saving every nth frame is now implemented, you can find it on the the export options dialogue 🙂
Latest version can be found on the downloads section of the site.
Wow. Thanks, that was really quick 🙂
