The next version of macOS drops 32-bit support completely. TimelineFX doesn’t work with it. Will a 64-bit version be ready in time for the release of macOS Catalina?
Thanks for the heads up, I should be able to compile a 64bit version, so will look at that.
Catalina is out now, so 32-bit support is gone for anyone updating to the latest version of macOS. Any update on a 64-bit version? Thank you.
I would also love to know about the 64bit update. I can’t use it anymore since upgrading to Catalina. A lot of my work depends on this app.
I’ll see if I can get this sorted this weekend.
I’ve now managed to compile a 64bit version which is available from the downloads page. Let me know if there’s any issues.
Thank you!
Fantastic! Thank you 🙂
Alrighty, I am really diggin the dark layout. But I am having a slight problem. When selecting a particle within the effect, the options are seriously hard to read. You have to click through all of them in order to find the option you want.
I made a screenshot. The text of all the options are in white, to match the dark background, but that section actually has a white background…

That’s interesting, looks like the dark theme in macos messes up that list box, I’ll have to see what the effect attributes list does differently as that looks fine. If you set your theme to light or auto in system preferences then that will sort it, but I will try and fix. Thanks for reporting!
Oh, another thing that I forgot to mention, PVR export on Mac is not available at the moment as I’m having trouble finding a 64bit version of the library, do you Mac users still have a need for that option?
I’ve fixed the issue with the emitter attribute list and also changed the background colour of active tabs as well so they show a bit better on dark theme. Download from usual place.
Perfect! Thank you! Works much better now.
As the PVR goes. I save all of my work as individual frames to work with the other programs I use, so I have no need of video exports. 🙂
the same issue happens on windows when we have a dark theme with white text – so how come we didn’t get this fix in v1.36?
also the white background on the graph really sticks out, so if you can make an option to make it a darker color as well that’d be great.
Ok I’ll sort out the Windows version later today.
