Sorry I forgot about this thread! I think I know what you mean. If you look in the explosions effect library available from this site, and look at the stylised multi effect, then I think that does something you’re after. Basically it uses an emitter setup as an ellipse, this contains a sub effect which is the explosion. the ellipse effect dictates how many explosions happen. Look at the the effect tab and you’ll see what I mean.
